St. Paul’s School for Girls Sports Medicine Program strives to promote excellence in healthcare for athletes. The Sports Medicine Staff at SPSG is available to all student athletes for prevention, evaluation, and treatment of athletic injuries. The Athletic Training Room is fully equipped with various modalities and rehabilitation equipment. The Sports Medicine Staff works closely with local physicians and physical therapists to provide comprehensive medical care for our SPSG student-athletes.

Sarah is a licensed allied health professional who, under a physician’s directions, carries out the prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of sports injuries. This includes assisting in developing preventative conditioning programs, providing appropriate acute care for athletic injuries, arranging for appropriate physician evaluation & diagnosis, and providing or coordinating follow-up treatments & rehabilitation as necessary for all injuries sustained by athletes in the program. She provides sports medicine services to approximately 420 students on 39 teams between the middle and upper schools.
Teri Metcalf McCambridge, M.D.
Dr. McCambridge is a primary care sports medicine specialist with Towson Sports Medicine who received her fellowship in adolescent and sports medicine from the University of Wisconsin, following the completion of her pediatric residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital. The addition of Dr. McCambridge to Towson Orthopaedic Associates expands the scope of our sports medicine clinic to include immediate counseling and treatment for athletes with many sports-related concerns including overuse injuries, the female athlete triad, nutritional supplements, cardiac and respiratory problems in athletes. She also oversees the management of concussion and performance of online neuropsychological IMPACT testing for high risk athletes.
Dr. McCambridge has been named Baltimore’s Top Sports Medicine Pediatrician. Baltimore Magazine surveyed physicians in the Baltimore area and Dr. McCambridge was featured in the magazine’s Top Docs Issue.
