Equity, Diversity, and Inclusivity

As an Episcopal school, SPSG is committed to being an inclusive community grounded in respect for each of its members. Each month, SPSG recognizes and celebrates cultural and religious observances. We are kicking off the school year with September's observances!

For the month of September, we celebrate...

  • Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15-October 15)
During National Hispanic Heritage Month we recognize contributions made and the important presence of Hispanic and Latino Americans to the United States and celebrate their heritage and culture.

  • Rosh-Hashanah (Sundown, September 9-11)
Rosh Hashanah is the Jewish New Year and the first of the high holidays.

  • Yom Kippur (Sundown September 18-19)
Yom Kippur also known as "Day of Atonement," it is the holiest day of the year for Jews. Its central themes are atonement and repentance.

  • Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival (September 24)
The Mid-Autumn Festival is equivalent to Thanksgiving in America. It is a time where family members gather to feast, fellowship and eat moon cakes! Mid-Autumn Festival is the second most important festival in China after the Chinese New Year. The festival means family reunion and harmony.
