News & Announcements

This summer, we have begun the search for a new Head of School at St. Paul's School for Girls. The search will be national in scope; the position description will be posted on the SPSG and SPS websites, as well as the Association of Independent Maryland & DC Schools (AIMS), the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS), and other national organizations. We are in search of a candidate who would assume the position for the 2019-20 school year, alongside the new President of The St. Paul's Schools. As we work to identify important qualifications and characteristics in the next head of school, community input is essential.
Head of School Penny Evins shares her message for our graduates on feedback and relationships, and how they, when intertwined, facilitate learning. "Use life experiences and feedback as opportunities to learn from mistakes and your well intentioned efforts. School is not over for you, no matter your grade, college year, graduate or post doc programs. Regardless of your next educational setting, you are a portrait of an SPSG graduate, and as such, a lifelong learner." Speaking on behalf of the senior class, Morgan Hill '18, spoke of the memories shared amongst the Class of 2018 and her hopes for their futures. "Although it is difficult to leave a place that has long felt like home, we know that with the endless support of our second family at SPSG and each other, we will never walk through life alone."

Unification means that one Board, made up of all current trustees from SPSG and SPS, will work for the mutual benefit of all students. This unification will help ensure the continued success of our Schools in a highly competitive and ever-changing independent school landscape.
