How to Sign Up for Urgent News & Text Message Alerts SPSG is able to send text messages about urgent school matters (such as weather-related cancellations and delays) to your cell phone. To receive these messages, please follow the steps detailed below, or click here to watch a video with step-by-step instructions. - At your computer, log-in to SPSG's LMS, or any password-protected page.
- At the top right of the page, click your account name.
- Select "Subscriptions" from the drop-down menu of options.
Step 3: Add your text-enabled phone - Click the button that says "Add Text Enabled Phone"
- If you receive a pop-up window, click "OK"
- Go to the "Add New Phone" section and select "Mobile Phone" from the drop-down menu.
- Add your cell phone number, and select your mobile provider from the drop-down menu.
- Click "Save Phone", if you receive a pop-up window, click "OK".
Step 4: Verify your phone - Once you have saved your number, click the red "Verify" button, then click "Request Code"
- Shortly thereafter, you will receive a text message with a code in all caps.
- Enter the code in the empty box and click "Verify"
Step 5: Manage news alerts - Under "Current Subscriptions," click "Settings" on the right of "News Alerts"
- Under "Manage News Alerts" at the top of the page, select your cell phone number.
