THE DISCOVER LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE
JUNE 23 & JUNE 24, 2008
The Discover Leadership Institute, a joint collaboration between the Center for Leadership in Education at the University of Richmond and St. Paul’s School for Girls, will bring faculty and students from Richmond’s Jepson School of Leadership Studies to the campus of SPSG for a two-day intensive study of leadership.
The curriculum of the Institute will academically challenge students to think about leadership in a different way and to apply their own skills as young leaders. The focus of the Institute will be on both the practical and the theoretical nature of leadership studies. The students will examine topics, such as what is leadership, ethics and leadership, citizen and community engagement in leadership, and other leadership issues. In the forefront of leadership development for students, SPSG is proud to partner with the University of Richmond to bring this exceptional program to Baltimore.
The mission of The Center for Leadership in Education at the University of Richmond is to provide programs in the study of leadership to students, teachers, and administrators at the K-12 level. The Center grew out of the curriculum of the nationally known undergraduate program of the Jepson School of Leadership Studies at the University of Richmond. The programs of the Center examine leadership as a process and a relationship among diverse people.
