Head Of School Search

On March 9, 2012, Board President the Hon. Judith C. Ensor ’79 announced to faculty, staff, and students of St. Paul’s School for Girls that Dr. Monica Gillespie will depart SPSG at the end of the 2011-12 academic year. Her decision to conclude her tenure after six years of service is personal and family centered. A woman of integrity and scholarship, Dr. Gillespie guided the school with a strong commitment to the mission and to the students and will leave a legacy that will benefit SPSG for years to come.

Judge Ensor has appointed trustees Trish Carroll ’76 and Clifford Lull P ’10 to co-chair the Search Committee, which has already begun work on the transition to new leadership. The school anticipates appointing an interim head for the 2012-13 academic year and to have a permanent head of school, who will begin service as of June 2013, selected by the end of 2012.
