Technology
The technology mission of St. Paul's School for Girls is:
- To integrate technology (computers and multimedia learning environment) in support of SPSG's commitment to providing a rigorous and challenging academic program for students from a wide range of abilities and learning styles.
- To encourage and support the use of technology in the teaching/learning environments in attracting, supporting, and retaining an extraordinary faculty of diverse experiences and talents who are committed to educating the minds and hearts of girls.
- To promote the use of technology in providing sound financial management and strengthening the culture of philanthropy to allow SPSG to fulfill its mission.
The plan envisions that technology will help to improve the quality of education at SPSG in the following ways:
- To help students improve their learning experience, we aim to provide them with the skills necessary to use technology (computers and multimedia) for gathering, critically analyzing, organizing and communicating information to others. As our world continues to develop into an information and communication-based society, our students will be able to function in such a post-secondary school setting.
- Teachers will be able to enhance content-area learning with technology-infused lessons and engage the students in learning experiences that will provide the opportunity to use a variety of media and formats to communicate information and ideas. Technology will allow us to better serve the diverse learning styles of our students.
